Company Overview
We’re looking for teammates who relish the challenge and are compelled to leave a positive mark on the lives of the patients we serve alike. If embracing creativity and candor, thriving on challenges, and empowering your teammates to succeed excites and inspires you, join us as we champion hope and work to advance our aspiration to find therapies for renal disease.

The Role
We’re seeking a highly motivated research associate with a strong background in cell culture to join our dynamic team and contribute to building our pipeline for kidney diseases. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our research efforts working alongside a team of scientists.

Responsibilities include maintaining and propagating cell lines, executing experiments, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our cell culture processes. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture techniques and possess a strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols.

Major Responsibilities

-
Initiate and maintain cystogenesis assays by culturing kidney epithelial cells in 3D-extracellular matrices. Routinely apply defined media supplements to stimulate cyst formation.
-
Perform compound treatment studies within cystogenesis assays. Prepare dosing solutions, apply treatments and document observations.
-
Establish and characterize new stable cell lines.
-
Support all other cell culture and cell-based assay activities, including high-throughput assay workflows and routine maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation of mammalian cell lines.
-
Prepare media, supplements, and other cell culture reagents in support of cell culture needs.
-
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results.
-
Adhere to strict laboratory safety guidelines and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
-
Collaborate within the Discovery Biology team to optimize assay conditions, interpret outcomes, and ensure consistent assay reproducibility.
-
Commit to helping the team achieve deliverables and meet aggressive timelines.
